Wondering how to work with MOT?

Most of our projects are developed through Voice Lab.  Come sing some new repertoire, some old repertoire, or just come hang out with fellow singers.

We'd love to see you!

Sunday, September 22nd
7:00 - 9:00 PM
With the wonderful Anne Van Deusen at the keys, plus a special guest!

For this month's Voice Lab, join us at
 BeSpectacled, the optometry shop of
MOT Board Member Dr. Mark Veth,
located at 7511 Harwood Ave, 53213 in Wauwatosa
.

We have a special guest facilitator!
Natalie Ford Sadjak! Folks might remember her from MOT projects like Preludes, and Thank you, NEXT! Natalie is in the process of completing her Alexander Technique Teacher Certification and will be joining us to share her expertise as part of our feedback process.

To sign up to sing, email
Company Manager Danielle Gedemer at [email protected].
We'll take the first ten singers who sign up!

(Of course, if you don't want to sing, you're welcome to attend, give feedback, or just come to hang out with some awesome fellow singers!)

Plus: Snacks provided by the
MOT Board of Directors!

Voice Lab FAQs

Picture
What has Voice Lab been used for?  Voice Lab has been used by professional artists to prepare for auditions, try out new repertoire, and revisit old, familiar pieces.  Composers have used Voice Lab to assist them in the development of new work.  Voice Lab has been used by avocational singers to continue their practice, and by singers returning to music after a hiatus who want a safe place to try things out.  Voice Lab is here to support you in whatever way it can.

What does it cost?  Voice Labs are offered free of charge.  This is one way we support the growth of artists and their art.

Testimonials:  "I thought I might be intimidated by all the great voices there, but everyone was so supportive and constructive, that now the only hard part is deciding what to sing next time."

"It was wonderful to be able to perform and hear others perform in such an intimate, non-judgmental situation.  It really is a brilliant idea for Milwaukee Opera Theatre to host these."

"I
f all meetings were run like you run voice lab, people would be so much happier. You keep everyone focused and on task, make it fun, and are SO supportive and positive to everyone!"
