From Our Audiences
Last night I saw a production that reached right down to the bottom of my soul and I felt everything…You give me hope. You give me breath. You give me goosebumps. You break my heart. You give me laughter. You inspire me every day…Phenomenal…A real "you had to be there" event!…Triumphant…It was magic…I’m still singing and smiling…One singular word: BRILLIANT…It is instantly etched in the history of Milwaukee…So many incredible people doing what they love so much…What an experience!..Tonight was a celebration of everything that makes Milwaukee my home…It was truly an honor to be able to see this production…At the beginning of the show when everyone was going onto the stage, I was thinking "Wow! This is a who's who of Milwaukee Theater scene" I couldn't believe how many were up there, it was overwhelming the amount of talent and skill up there. So many beautiful, wonderful people….As we drove home last night, there was conversation about people who move away from Milwaukee to retire. All I could think was, "I will never move away. Because of what we just saw." What a community. I am proud to be on the edge of it….an overwhelmingly satisfying performance!! ..Totally fantastic cast, dancers & musicians - a great night for Theatre in MKE!..There was some serious magic going on in that auditorium last night….I’m still grinning…It was both fresh and moving…Everyone should be so very proud of this endeavor. It is, without question, a standout performance and an example of true artistry and real work and craft… It was beyond delightful. Just to see so many of my favorite actors together up on stage, people I’ve so enjoyed for many years, was a thrill….There was so much love between the audience and the performers… it was palpable…Creative, innovative art. Keep on keeping on.
