My Little Chick Doc Woodhull tries to persuade Victoria to elope with him. Listen, All You Brisk Young Men Saloon customers and Doc join in rowdy song, as Victoria lies helpless after giving birth. You Naughty, Naughty Men (Sarah Hwang and Mary Kriger) Victoria and her friend Josie perform at a San Francisco theater. How Can This Be? Josie commiserates as Victoria laments her hard life. By The Powers Of The Air Victoria meets Col. James Blood; the two recognize each other as soul mates. Isabella’s Advice Suffragist Isabella Beecher Hooker gives Victoria an unwanted lesson in ladylike behavior. I Anticipate Criticism (Dixie Bradley) Addressing the House Judiciary Committee, Victoria makes an appeal for women’s voting rights, and announces her candidacy for the Presidency. Victory For Victoria (Carol Greif) A rousing campaign song. Victoria’s Interview Reporters question Victoria about her candidacy and her platform of social reform. Preach What You Practice (Jill and Frits Broekhuizen) Victoria confronts famed clergyman Henry Ward Beecher about his sexual hypocrisy. Vanquish Victoria Anti-vice crusader Anthony Comstock gloats over his success in getting Victoria and Tennie jailed. This Was Not My Time Exhausted and defeated, Victoria renounces the women’s rights movement and her husband, Col. Blood. Epilogue The main characters reveal their individual fates. |
