Jason Fassl
For decades, Jason Fassl has been designing lighting, sets, and projections for theatrical productions in Milwaukee. His inventive and versatile designs have shaped important productions at Milwaukee Opera Theatre, helping us define our distinctive aesthetic and intimate storytelling style. Each year, Jason also contributes to projects across Wisconsin, bringing illumination solutions to plays, musicals, operas, ballet, and corporate events. His regional work has appeared on virtually every major stage in the state.
In addition to his extensive Wisconsin portfolio, Jason served as head sound and lighting technician aboard Royal Caribbean International Cruise Lines and toured internationally with magician David Copperfield as a programmer and electrician.
Jason is proud to be an Artistic Associate for First Stage Children's Theatre and the Resident Designer for The Fireside Dinner Theatre. His lighting designs have been seen at The Milwaukee Ballet, The Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Milwaukee Opera Theatre, Skylight Music Theatre, American Players Theatre, Peninsula Players, Renaissance Theaterworks, Next Act Theatre, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, The Madison Repertory Theatre, Youngblood Theatre Company, and many others.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point with a BFA in Theatre Design/Technology, Jason is a member of United Scenic Artists Local 829.
